Marketing Your Casino

As a casino, your venue offers more than just gambling. Whether it’s luxurious hotels, cutting-edge technology, award-winning restaurants and entertainment spaces or flexible event and group business opportunities, your marketing should highlight all of the amenities that make your property a destination.

While most people think of casinos as places where luck strikes through a roulette wheel or a blackjack table, they’re also social spaces. Champagne glasses clink, and tourists and locals mingle, creating an energy that is hard to find in other places. That’s one of the reasons why many gamblers see their casinos as more than just buildings, but rather social spaces where they can let down their hair and be themselves.

In Casino, Robert De Niro’s Ace Rothstein is a principled old-school operator who refuses to help the FBI in their investigation of his friend Nicky. But even though he loves and trusts his partner, he knows that love and trust are dicey propositions in the world of gambling, where blind chance is usually your best bet.

As the movie continues, Scorsese’s ambivalence about these characters is evident. Although he is unflinching in depicting their treachery and violence, he doesn’t give us much space to feel sorry for them. Instead, he uses their actions to show how greed and corruption can ruin even the most promising of lives. This approach makes for a thrilling, lean and mean thriller that keeps the tension high from start to finish.
